Mayweather may eventually seuffr his first defeat when he meets Cotto on June 5, 2012. His presumption that Cotto is the same fighter as he is will finally rechochet back to himself during their scheduled fight. Moreover, Cotto is the same as Pacman in terms of aggressiveness and offensive styles which will give Mayweather no rest until he will finally be floored to the canvas.

The line Manny Pacquiao has drawn on the board with the Cotto victory srspasues the line Floyd Mayweather left on boxing when he retired. Like it or not, Mayweather has three ways to respond.:1.) Floyd can acknowledge Manny’s supremacy as the PFP best in the world (a fact that 95% of the boxing world already acknowledges), Given Floyd’s ego that is unlikely.2.) Floyd can take the Shane Mosley fight, silence the critics (myself included) who claim Floyd has ducked Shane and equal Pacquiao’s accomplishments as a true welterweight. Given the distinct possibility of Mosley beating Floyd and spoiling the huge mega fight Pacquiao/Mayweather represents, this is an unlikely event. Floyd had always placed $ $ over legacy in the past and I see no reason for that business strategy to change this late in his career.3.) The most likely scenario is for Floyd to fight Pacquio next, and this in my opinion is the most likely event. Manny went straight for the best welterweight in the world in Cotto, Floyd will do the same by taking on Pacquiao, provided Pacquio doesn’t force Mayweather to fight Mosley first. Manny is in the position to require Mayweather to fight Shane, and if I was close to Pacquiao, I would counsel that Manny publicly declare that his intention would be to fight the winner of a Mosley/Mayweather fight. It would settle any issues with Mayweather’s creditably, and force Floyd equal Manny’s accomplishments in the welterweight division prior to rewarding Mayweather with another huge pay day. If Floyd is lucky, Manny will give him a fight, but Pacquiao has nothing to prove, he is clearly boxing’s dominate fighter, Mayweather, like everyone else must accept Manny’s terms if he hopes to get a Pacquio fight at all. Time will tell, but I suspect a Pacquio/Mayweahter fight in the near future, most likely some time next year. Mayweather/Hatton II is a huge disappointment, and another obvious avoidance of Mosley, Clottey or other far better compitition by Floyd, and money grabs this late in Floyd’s career will damange his legacy. Even if Floyd really doesn’t care how he will be remembered, the fans doe, and taking on Hatton again is not the fight the American public wants to see. Floyds choices are Mosley or Pacquiao (if he can get Manny), anything else for Mayweather is a disappointment.

these are the only two Boxers that i know. if they fight and one wins.. what else is left of boxing? MMA Killed it. its not a bad thing tuohgh. I see it being more of a striking game where wrestling and bjj and stuff are all grappling games. only thing is that you dont really hear too much about grappling other than in MMA like UFC and Strikeforce. So, maybe Boxing is going to end up going that route and you just wont hear too much about it anymore.

George Foreman: But who is Mayweather? He’s a nobody..There is no way I would consider him to be the best P4P fighter in the world. He is good but he made a fool of himself against De La Hoya. i dont think it will happen cubaese floyd will be demanding the majority of the money. pacquiao has earned the right to ask for more but i personally think that they both should take 50/50. i also think that this fight wont happen cubaese mayweather will end up weighing more than pacquiao like he did with marquez and pacquiao camp is not going to tolerate it.

Anyone agree with that or was Emmanuel drunk or something?Maravillas hit Paul the Punished Williams with hard lefts and rights, power shots. Sergio got inside the long arms and punished the Punisher with a brutal, Pacquiaoesque finish. Williams was Hattoned! second round, too! Wow!I’ve never seen quality fights end with such vicious head shots. This usually happens with lower ranked fighters.
